2008 Ultra. \\;\\\\\\; 1 1/2 months old. \\;\\\\\\; stock everything \\; Just shy of 5,000 miles
 \\;\\\\\\;
Had a 270 mile run to get home. \\;\\\\\\; Pulling hard against the wind with tbag on the tour pack. \\;\\\\\\; Couldn't get it over 80-85 wide open for about 3 miles trying to catch back up to my buddy after stopping to lose a coat.
 \\;\\\\\\;
Right side pipe went super blue all the way around at the end of the pipe.
 \\;\\\\\\;
WTF
End as in tip or end as in where it botls to the head??? If it is where it bolts to the head that is normal. All pipes change color. Nothing you can do about it. That is why they put heat shields on them. To cover it up.
3 miles wide open into the wind..
 \\;
sounds normal think about it.
you were putting some heat out.
beat it was a steady 1300- 1400 degree or more
08 stock ultra seems to be the hottest running bike of all time.
You really need to get your \\;air/fuel  \\;issues taken care of . It shouldnt be that way in a new bike \\;but it is. The bikes oil temp runs over 300 deg. with the stock fuel mixture. \\; Not good , Xied, pc3 , fuel pak something.
I rented an '07 Standard and it had the same issue. \\; The right pipe was blued about 4" from the tip. \\; When the bike ran, more exhaust came out of the left side. \\; I thought that was kind of strange...
 \\;
I also rented an '07 FLHX. \\; The exhaust flow was more even, but this bike's pipe blued right where the rear cylinder's head pipe met the front.
 \\;
Both bikes ran way too hot for my liking...
