Hello,
I am a new poster to the forum, but have been lurking for the past couple of months. \\; I purchased an '02 Road King, first Harley and absolutely love it! \\; I have done some minor mods, but am now ready for my first major upgrade. \\; I am going to go with Wild1 Chubby 16" apes and also decided to get chrome hand controls while I am at it. \\; I have been have been having a tough time finding a decent price on hand controls but came across a set at choppercorner.com. \\; Anyone order from these folks before and if so is the quality of the hand controls up to par? \\; I've read a few posts where some chrome hand controls have had flaking issues after a few months.
Thanks for a GREAT forum, I've picked up quite a bit from here already!
Frank, I have heard the same thing about flaking and dull chrome on several brands of controls. \\; Although I have never heard that about HD chrome controls, although I'm sure they are all the same. \\; I would suggest that you get the actual Chrome controls and NOt the Control covers, but that is just my thought. \\; I had mine installed by the dealership, although I would assume that you could do it your self. \\; Good luck, hopefully someone will be able to post with some good info on that company, I got mine from the HD shop. \\;
 \\;
Good luck!
