I always have wondered if some kid was to put his/her hands on hot
exhaust if I would be liable? It's bad enough adults want to sit on your ride
etc, but what if some kid did something and got hurt.
 \\;
Would you be liable? I always try to keep my bike in view but as we all know
kids are extremely fast, even for parents who watch their kids. Mind you so are
crooks / vandels.......!
 \\;
Just wondering.

depends how good your lawyer is. Kidding! I just asked my wife ( paralegal) and she thinks it falls under the same premiss as other things like if the kid was on your property and melts his hand on your pipes \\;,yes probobly under homeowners. \\;If you are out in public and the bike is parked , probobly not. I have learned alot about liability issues having owned multiple properties, My wife works in the law department of 1 of the biggest home builders in the southeast so we talk legal stuff alot. Most liability issues are going to be at your home.
$hit i just wish i could keep my own kids form climbing on the scoot like it wasa damn junglegym. there 2and 3 and your right a shinny bike is like a magnet.
 \\;What if the kid stepped in front of a train.....would you sue the engineer?
 \\; \\; \\; People, teach your kids right and wrong. \\; There are consequences to your actions.
Learn'em early......(still hear my dads voice in the back of my head....
"Serves you right!")

There was a post about this not too long ago. \\; My advice was from how my dad raised me. \\; His theory was let him do it once and he will learn not to do it again. \\;
