Default Rush slip-ons

I had Rush slip-ons installed on Friday. They have the 1 3/4 baffle as I wanted to still listen to my radio and my '07 ultra. I love them!!&nbsp\\; I have put over 300 miles on them and they just get better sounding. I already had the stage 1 a/c and a Dobeck DFO. The mufflers compliment everything great. For those of you that can not afford a SERT, I highly recommend the Dobeck DFO. Their customer service is above and beyond any.&nbsp\\; Also I can not forget Black Diamond Harley Davidson in Marion, Illinois their techs were great. You can talk to the owners day and night if you have any questions.

Which length is the loudest?&nbsp\\;Do you loose torque with the longer or shorter baffle?

It's not a length, but diameter.&nbsp\\; The larger the diameter, the louder the pipe.&nbsp\\; On a 96" engine, they recommend no more than 2.25", 2.5" is for a bigger displacement.&nbsp\\; I run 2.25" and they run great, but I believe optimum is considered 1.75" for bone stock, 2" for a Stage 1 kit.&nbsp\\; You shouldn't really lose any torque, in fact, you should gain if you use a fuel management system with AC and pipes.

I don't want to put down the Rush with 1.75" baffles as I had them on my bike for about a year. I now have the Fuel Moto custom baffles installed in them and they are a major improvement in sound (quieter without the raspy bark at roll-on), have better and more durable packing material, and noticeably improved performance, especially low-end and midrange torque. If you're considering a slip-on, go here and consider the Jackpot package. Jackpots are identical to Rush with the custom baffles installed:

http://www.fuelmotousa.com/jackpot.htm

Or, for the baffles only:

http://www.fuelmotousa.com/rush_fuelmoto&nbsp\\;

The above baffles fit Rush, Jackpot, Wild Pigs, some types of HD SE mufflers, etc. To get the performance numbers shown on the dyno charts you'll also need the PCIII with custom map and an open AC (e.g., Fuel Moto, Ness, K&amp\\;N). I think it's a major bargain for low-cost improvements to a stock bike.
