In my post I wasn't referring to them actually getting louder, they wore on my \\;hearing over time. \\; I do have a Softail with Porkers on it for the short rides. \\;Maybe the other comment on gets louder with age meant his or her age, lol. That certainly applies to me!

Dave
went with the Rineharts on my 08 RKC. I went for the look as the RKC is Black Cherry Pearl and think the black tips look good with the paint and leather. As far as the sound, it has a nice rumble without being offensive. Been through some roadblocks with no problems. Besides I'm getting a bit "long in the tooth" so my days of raising hell on the beach boulevard is over!
I bought the Kuryakyn Crushers with the Trident tips for my 2007 Street Glide. I heard them on a 2008 RK at the dealers and purchased my set 5 minutes later. Great sound at all throttle levels.
I have the V&\\;H Ovals, Stage 1 A/C, and the V&\\;H Fuelpak. \\; Mileage went up about 10MPG, sound can be managed as long as you keep the RPMs down in the lower gears. \\; However, they will bark loudly if you crank the throttle. \\; Very deep sounding, I'm very happy with mine.
Dave, I have Rineharts, my buddy has V&\\;H Ovals. \\; Both are about as loud (not too loud), but mine \\;have a bit more of a harsh crack, his have a more mellow rumble. \\; They both sound good, but that's the best way I can explain it.
