I had a Mcewan gauge on my bike and switiched it out for the HD guage. The old gauge maxed out at 300. The HD gauge goes to 350. Prior to getting an oil cooler, my bike ran up to 300 several times.
You are better off to buy the HD kit which includes the gauge, harness, and sender.
