My 08 RG's bars and instrument cluster point 5 \\; degrees to the right while running straight down the road. I use the gas tank as a fixed reference point.I mentioned it at my first 1,000 mile service and was told to wait until after Labor Day when the dealer could take the time to really fix it. Believe me, I am not one to let it drop. Why Harley can't consistently \\;build bikes that run straight down the road is problematic to say the least.
 \\;
I'm not a perfectionist, but alignment issues that can be seen so clearly \\;with the naked eye \\;are too much. I don't care \\;if HD has to replace the whole front end or frame, I ain't livin with it. \\;
 \\;glens in your statement âmy 07 Road King Classic within the first mile after picking it up last June. The rear tire was also visibly to the right when following the bike straight down the lane.â
*I had a friends 07 spoke wheel RK on my lift. Upon close measurement we found the rear wheel spaced to the LEFT side by more than 3/8â from center. Hope this helps. You should go with what you have as you did properly âfront and rear wheels are in proper alignment in the garage.â Go with that.
*You can also check how to align on my site under DIY. You may also think about an alignment on your frame. Check out GMD Computrack in Fort Lauderdale on the I-Net. This is how we do it for the track where crash and alignment are important and prevalent.
Mentioned it to the dealer again and I get the its normal thing. and you cant sight by the tins as they may be off. The forks cannot move once they are in th etriple trees and will always be aligned properly blah blah blah.. So basically the dealer is saying there is nothing wrong. What recourse do I have now to get this to be straight.
