Default Fairing mirror, regrets?

I've been thinking about replacing the stock mirrors on my 08 Ultra with the fairing mounted ones. Anyone have any regrets after doing it? My daughter gave me an Amazon gift card and I found out I can buy Harley parts on Amazon now.

no regrets. cleans it up and I have an excellent view. One word of caution though, when you use the template, check, double check, go inside drink some iced tea then go out and check 2 or 3 more times before you mark and drill.&nbsp\\;I say this because I checked placement about 3 times and was off just slightly on the left side. when I mounted up the mirror, the left side has a 1/8 " gap cause the mount is extending on to the hump on the faring. cant really see it if unless you are looking for it and its not a big deal. I Macgyverd a black rubber gasket to seal the slight gap. Unless you are completely tooled to the hilt you are gonna need a rather obscure bit in the form of 13/32nds for the 3/8 stud, an 1/8 for pilot hole and 7/32 for alignment hole, a&nbsp\\;T-27 torx driver and of course torque wrench in-lbs

Too bad the retards at Mike's famous&nbsp\\;didn't know that. I bought mine and they were already installed. Didn't realize until I put my radio in that there was a piece of electrical tape covering a small hole from an f-up on both sides!!!!!!!!! other that that I like them.

I will be the first - I hated mine.&nbsp\\; Actually put handle bar mounted one on my SG.&nbsp\\;
Here's why...they vibrate like crazy!&nbsp\\; Couldn't see out of the darn things.&nbsp\\; They are not rubber mounted when on the fairing.&nbsp\\; Now that I have them on the bars...I love them.&nbsp\\; The bars are mounted on rubber = no vibrations and I can see what is behind me now!!!

The only downside to living with the fairing mirrors is that the view is partially blocked depending on what you want to see. I don't want to go over to stem mounted ones but would look favorably on a replacement that is slightly larger/longer to increase rear view.
