Last couple of nights on my way to work, I've noticed an orange glow reflecting off the crash bar on the left side. It only comes on when I get on the throttle(a little hard) then it goes out. I checked it sitting still and revving the engine and I don't see it. The bike runs good. No misses or hesitations,etc. I was wondering if anybody ran across this before. It's an \\; '00 Roadglide. Any help would be greatly appreciated. \\; Thanx
Does it even when the engine is cold. It only glows till I'm off the throttle. Then it goes away. It looks like It's reflcting somewhere from under the gas tank. \\;
Typical heat generated from late ignition timing / lean mixture
 \\;
Everyone certainly talks about the a/f mixture on these bikes, but the #1 easiest way to clean up emissions is to retard the timing. \\;
 \\;
Cars have done it for years, and I would suppose MOCO is doing the 1-2 punch with a/f and timing too to meet EPA regs. \\; It's the logical way to clean up the pipe.
 \\;
The good thing is, if you can remap the timing curve and a/f mixture, there is a TON of drivability available in a motr which is essentially "mis tuned"
Where can I get one of those gremlin bells,LOL. Ken I really like your pic. That is so cool.
 \\;\\\\\\;
Someone has to buy it for you or it won't work. \\;\\\\\\; And, you can't ask for one either or it won't work.
 \\;
I told my son I needed one. \\; I've had it on 3 bikes now. \\; Never heard the part about you couldn't ask for it. \\; I just knew you couldn't buy it for yourself. \\; I hope mine keeps working.
