Default blown shock????

08 RG just over 1800 k.&nbsp\\; Did my preride inspection today and on the right hand side of the tire and on the borund there is a small puddle of oil.&nbsp\\; Looks like the shock is blown.&nbsp\\; I have an appointment in a couple of weeks for the bike but can I ride it in the mean time?

Anyone else havingthis problem?

Thanks,

You have an appointment for the shock problem?&nbsp\\; I wouldn't want to be stuck not riding my bike for two weeks.&nbsp\\; Ask the dealer about riding it.&nbsp\\; I would at least try it and see how it feels.&nbsp\\; My guess would be, if you take it easy it won't be a problem.&nbsp\\; But what do I know, give it a shot.

So long as the oil does not foul your brake you should be okay. I had a left-side shock on my 07 RKC puke and rode it that way for maybe close to a thousand miles. Right at the end, on the trip to the shop to get it changed out things were a little squirrelly, but the bald rear tire was likely a contributing factor as well.
