Default SE A/C question

Just picked up a SE A/C and V&H fuelpak to go with my V&H Ovals. Looking through the install instructions for the SE A/C, it says that the fuel tank has to be removed. I'm not the handiest guy in the world, but I'm trying. Only way to get the A/C on is to take the tank off first?

apparently you must have an '08, and must be something with the bigger tank.&nbsp\\; the '07s and earlier just bolt on. sure can't understand why you would have to fiddle with the gas tank.

Correct...I have an '08, and the directions say the fuel tank needs to come off. I haven't started the install yet...just reading the paper.

I pulled my tank. Its actually very, very&nbsp\\;easy.&nbsp\\; There is no cross over hose on the 08's.&nbsp\\; However after I did mine a member in here said that he did his without removing the tank.&nbsp\\; The reason for removing the tank is because there is 2 hex bolts that have to be removed so you can remove and discard the throttle body bracket.&nbsp\\; The heads to these bolts are facing vertical under the tank.&nbsp\\; After I did mine a member in here said he managed to do his with a angle allen wrench and didnt remove his tank.&nbsp\\; But I would rather remove the tank out of the way so it doesnt get scratched.&nbsp\\; The instructions in the shop manual are way better than the instructions that come with the iar cleaner backplate,

I have an '08 Ultra and I put one on two weeks ago&nbsp\\;- didn't remove the tank.&nbsp\\; An angled allen wrench will get in there without scratching the bottom of the tank.&nbsp\\; Just take your time removing these two bolts and the rest of the removal/install will take about 10 mins.&nbsp\\;

Are you talking a regular L shaped Allen wrench, or an offset?

I removed my hex bolts without removing the gas tank also.

Got it on this AM (along with the V&H fuelpak to go with my Ovals). I'll do a little write-up later since others are interested in these components as well.
