Had a little ride planned today, so last night I was checking tire pressure. \\; The back tire was low. \\; I topped it off. \\; Well this morning I go out and check it again. \\; Thats right low again. \\; So I put it on the jack to look. \\; Sure enough, small nail right in the middle. \\; Holiday...everybodys closed.
 \\;
I could fix the tire with a plug, possibly even break it down and do a proper repair with a patch plug. \\; I know popular opinion here is...get a new tire...which is what I did on the last flat I had. \\; This is the new tire. \\; The bike has less than 8k on the clock and this is my second flat. \\; It sucks.
If it's tubeless, and you plug it with one of the motorcycle specific mushroom plugs (the kit I have is a Stop N Go brand). \\; I have plugged two tires on a 1000cc sportbike and then ridden them for the remaining life of the tire with no problems, including speeds over 100mph and it never leaked a bit. \\; I don't know about the cheaper cord plugs you find at an auto parts store...I wouldn't trust them as much to stay in.
 \\;
Of course if it's a tube tire like my RKC, then you could try Slime to get you through the weekend before replacing the tube.
