First let me say hello.
 \\;
I have a Patriot edition Ultra Classic 07. Im wondering if anyone has run into this problem with thier Bike. 6 mounths after I got the bike I had the 110 kit installed. and now I find out that there seems to be a problem with oil leaks from the head gasket. Though this is a problem Harley has come out with a new gasket, However this seems to be the least of my problems it seems that there are other issues happening with my motor because of the \\; 96 to 110 modification. is there anyone else out there that has \\;had this problem and what was your solution. From what I see I maybe buying a new motor. \\;
There have been issues with higher HP motor cranks. \\; Excessive crank runout can trash your oil pump and lots of other goodies. \\; Fix it before you have a catastrophic failure. \\; \\;If it has to come apart, have the crank \\;trued and welded and you'll never need to worry about it again. \\; Or you could pull it and sell it to me for a song.
 \\;
well if I get rid of this bike my 5 year old would have a fit maybe disown me. \\; I think she loves the bike more than I do. I just want it fixed and since it's broken down now I want it done right the first time. Im very leary about the Harley dealership service centers. Ive had some issues with most Ive come in contact with. I just want straight answers which is hard to get from most of them. I understand thier position for the most part.
Were the mods done by a dealer? \\; Would it be covered under warranty? \\; Either way, see about welding the new crank before it goes back together. \\; If this is a warranty fix you should be thankful that it happened now.
 \\;
 \\;
Well this is whare it gets funny to me. The upgrade was done at a Harley dealer. but there saying because it was done after the 90 days that its not covered under the \\; warrenty im on my own. \\; That it Actually \\;voids my warrenty. This sounds crazy to me. Im going to write Harley a letter and send them a copy of all my reciepts and see what they say. I wanted to see if others have run into this problem before I write this letter to see what the solutions they came up with. I know that if I had it to do all over again I wouldnt have done it,But that is 20 20 hind sight. From what Ive learned so far S&\\;S heads maybe the way to go.
If the dealer failed to tell you AND PUT IT IN WRITING that it would void your warranty, then it's on them. If the MOCO doesn't cover it, take the dealer to court.
