Most of you must be tired of hearing me moan about the rough ride of my SG (shake at idle, buzz in floorboards, seat and handlebars, pop on decel) after adding SE slipons, StageI breather, SERT and dyno tune.
Well, how weird is this? I commute to work on most days if the temp is in the 30's. This past Sunday I took a ride, the temp was in the high 40's, near 50. I thought the bike felt a little smoother than normal but wasn't sure if it was my imagination.
Now here it goes, today it was 62 degrees and guess what? The bike ran smooth as silk with a lot less pop and gurgle on decel.
Now is that weird?
I know there is a sensor that measures the amount of oxygen in the air depending on the ambient temperature. I'm wondering what could possibly be the problem? Defective sensor or maybe a bad parameter in the MAP that was created during the tune?
Any ideas or solutions. Has anyone experienced this before?
Well, if you consider that all the problems that you are describing are symptoms of a lean tune and the warmer air richens the mixture, it sounds pretty normal. The EFI should adjust for a lot of that, yes but it only has a certain range over which it can effect a difference. Get outside that range and it will try to compensate but it can't all the way.

Formulated to reduce drivability problems, such as erratic idle and lack of power, which may occur during high humidity/low temperature conditions. Convenient metered dispensing bottle treats 16 gallons of fuel.
Itâs not weird. Mine runs rough in temperatures that cold. Itâs kinda te nature of an air cooled motor. It will run different in extreme high temps as well. I remember riding my sporty (no EFI) with the choke all the way out just to keep it running on cold mornings. (20 deg) In extreme heat you will notice a loss of power.
