Default Brembo Conversion

Just completed some final touches on the conversion to '08 Brembo (non-ABS) front braking system on my '07 Ultra.&nbsp\\; Have&nbsp\\;plenty of pics along with some good notes, so hopefully in the near future I'll be able to put up an instructional post in the Brake Forum.
&nbsp\\;
Have enough miles on the conversion to honestly say this is the best OEM braking system I've ever used on a Touring rig!&nbsp\\; Have never been totally satisfied with the stock brakes on the Ultra, but these Brembos along with Lyndall pads are very confidence inspiring with a ton of feel at the lever.&nbsp\\; Just smooth, linear, solid braking action using two fingers.
&nbsp\\;
Best Regards,
&nbsp\\;

Good decision! I look forward to reading some more details about your project. I was wondering if this conversion was feasible. Like you I have never been 100% satisfied with the braking on my Ultra. With the Brembo's I could live without the ABS and keep the bike longer.

WV,
&nbsp\\;
Did ya get my message on the "other" board where we didn't have any 08 Diamond Back lines in stock to compare with the 07's to see if they had any difference in diameter?

If one had all the parts ready to install, this would be easily done in a day or less.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and state that this can be done for approximately $500-$600 dollars.&nbsp\\;All depends on whether you went with take-off components vs. new, braided lines vs. stock, and what brake pads you installed.&nbsp\\;And if you sold the old parts, some of that cost could be re-couped.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Hope this helps.

I'm extremely happy with the results of this conversion.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; And it was really easier than I initially expected.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Now, if I can just find the time to do a write up of the conversion I'll be over the hump!&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
&nbsp\\;
BTW:&nbsp\\; This mod ranks right up there with the IDS in "enhancements"!!&nbsp\\;

Good hearing from ya!
