I have the Hayden M6 auto chain tensioner and was going to install it but, several people I have talked to said to stick with the original (not automatic) as the Hayden sucked. \\; I am looking to see what a larger groups view is of this. \\; Please limit the responses to only the Hayden M6 and not the HD or other aftermarket units. \\; Thanks. \\;
I used a Hayden in my 03 low rider and was a great. \\; Had no problems. \\; Had 20K miles with the Hayden before I sold the bike \\;and never had any issues
I put the H-6 in my "99" Road King 50,000 miles ago, and still havent had to adjust it. works as good, or better than the H-D one I have in my 08 Classic.

I put one one my wifes 04 Sportster. \\; If you follow the directions it will not go together. \\; They specifically state in bold print to install it a certain way. I spent hours screwing with it. \\; After waiting thru a holiday weekend and then trying to get thru to them I finally got a human to talk to. \\; She said "just turn it around" and that the directions were wrong and that I should have looked on their web site. \\; I told her I did and that those instructions were also wrong. \\; She said she thought they had been corrected and would make sure it was done. \\; That was Memorial Day and the instrustions still say tall side in. \\; That is \\;not \\;only wrong but dangerous. \\; But in answer to your question...bike shifts great now
I have nearly 50,000 miles on my M-6 and it's given me no problems and has done everything promised to in the ads. \\; Those telling you different may be mistaking it for the piece of junk ratcheting version HD came out with....which can overtighten and because of the ratcheting mechanism will not allow it to slacken up again.
