HD Oil Temp Gauge - Seen This?

The Maxima Technologies (made in USA) Harley Davidson oil temp gauge I just installed&nbsp\\;has a very noticeable ring of light around the circumference of the face like the face&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;isn't internally sealed against the shell or something..? I decided on the HD model over the McEwen&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;so it'd match the other gauges &amp\\;\\\\\\; this sticks out like a freakin sore thumb. Aggravating. I'm curious if anybody else has seen this?

I installed mine about 2 months ago, I have the same ring of light, i got use to it, hope you do also. To me, its not worth taking it out and installing another one.

I paid a little more for the&nbsp\\;HD one for purely cosmetic reasons. They're not all like this are they?

I know a lot of HDF members have this gauge - do they all have the halo of light around the face?

Mine has the ring around it.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I was thinking about putting pinstripping around all of my guages.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I think it would look good on all of them.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I am not big on chrome but I installed the trim rings&nbsp\\; So along with the paint it should look good.
