NEVER Blip Throttle before shutdown or shut it down before a stop and idle settled,. I was watching things.

 

Actually, it's 4 times recycling the ignition switch (with run switch on). It is annoying, and the smart guys at HD should come up with a reliable, permanent fix.

 

Remember the good old days of just replacing the throttle cables when they gave you problems?&nbsp\\;

 

My Crusie didn\\\\\\;t work at first either. The Crusie disables with the flash. has to be enabled again. how lame is that that they reflash and don\\\\\\;t re-enable the cruise. I am sorry but I am pissed at the fact that this needs to happen. what does throttle by wire have to do witht he ecm remembering last idle? Why&gt\\;\\\\\\; No logic on this.

 

I have an 01 Ultra with Magneti-Marelli EFI. I've dealt with idle issues since this bike was new. I've been thinking about going to a zipper's or S&amp\\;S EFI system, since H-D won't solve the problem. I know some who've acually removed the EFI and installed a carb. Seems silly to go backward, but as long as the MoCo can keep selling poorly engineered bikes, they won't fix the problem. Luckily I found an indy shop with a good tuner and he got my bike idling and running pretty good when the stealer couldn't. Sorry to hear H-D still hasn't improved the situation for the newer bikes.

 

Yes ,getting tired of resetting and I do nopt have a tach on my roadking.

 

TO Trock.....&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I do. That is the problem.

 

What I am trying to say here is that, I do watch turning it off when it is at idle. Not rolling. Still does it. and it is really annoying to have to ride until you can pull over into a parking lot (especially with a group) and have to reset it.
