I think he has every right to expect his 20k bike to function properly. \\; And the just let it idle down so it will function properly arguement is pretty lame.

got mine reprogramed on June 17th..., no problems yet...settles at 1000rpm when engin warm no erratic RPM noticed - when cold starts at about 1300-1500 rom and then drops off slowly in about 2 min..

It's not just if you shut down at high idle, my RK has had the issue after 80 miles when I stopped for a red light. Had the reflash done today w/ the 1000 mile service, don't know if it worked yet. BUT, I also had new grips installed today and now the cruise control doesn't work. Awesome. Now I get to go back tomorrow. Are you friggin kidding me? Sorry for the bitch, I still love the bike.

IMHO, this \\;is a Delphi issue, Harley has it's hands tied until they come up with a fix.

You do know about cycling the ignition switch three times to get idle back to normal.

Point being that H-D acknowledged the problem. Had an entire model year to correct it and then the fix fails. There is no need for this with Throttle By Wire. Yamaha hass been doing it for years , GM has been doing it for years and the high idel problem does not exist on their vehicles. Why does the ECM need to remember the last idel speed when theignition \\; was shut off?
