Hello yet again! \\; lol
 \\;
I have an 08 Street Glide with stock motor and ECU. \\; I installed an Arlen Ness Stage 1 Big Sucker and Python Slip-Ons. \\; I loaded the "canned" map (M818-006) from the Power Commander website for ths setup. \\; The bike runs great, good power and pickup. \\; My only problem is that my gass mileage sucks now. \\; I barely get 30mpg. \\; Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve this? \\; \\;Better yet, Does anyone have a "tweaked" map they care to share?
 \\;
I bought the PCIII and Ness big Sucker from Fuel Moto. \\; Great guys by the way. \\; They provided me with a map for my setup but it was running even richer than the Power Commander map. \\; I was getting a lot of gurgling when I closed the throttle and the pickup was a little sluggish. \\; That is what prompted me to try the Power COmmander "canned" map.
 \\;
Thanks for any help,
Willie
How much did you ride the bike with either or both the exhaust and airbox on it before you put the PC-III on?
Because, if you did, your AFVs went higher than 100% and you locked them into place when you put the O2 eliminators on. If that's the case, you need to reset your AFVs. Either at a shop with a Digital Technician or by putting your stock breathing stuff back on and riding normally for a half-hour or so. The plug-in reset would be the surest thing to do to get them at 100% again. They might end up somewhere just a tad high or low by riding with the stock gear on.
At the risk of sounding dumber than I am, please tell me, what the heck is an "AFV?" I can't make heads nor tails out of some of the forum postings due to the zillions of acronyms used on here! I am sure I, as well as others, are missing a lot of good info.
O2-equipped ECUs can shift the entire fueling map up or down with it. Primarily for differing (oxygenated) fuels, etc. Some folks try to rely on it to compensate for engine mods. That is not its purpose.
Glenns,
I bought the bike in January 08. \\; Put on the Ness Stage 1 Big Sucker and PCIII before ever riding it. \\; I put the Pythons on at 2000 miles. \\;
Thanks for your help,
Willie

I had the same problem with canned map. I had run just mufflers beforehand. It was too rich everywhere, would not pull past 90 in fifth. Studied up on AFV, put stock parts back on, took a couple-hour road-trip. Put all new stuff back on at once. All is good now. 38-42 mpg again.
