So I press the button on my digital dipstick - nothing. \\; I figure maybe a bad battery or dirty connection, so I take it apart. \\; There's a carrier for the battery with a tab on either side that attaches it to the circuit board. \\; One side has come disconnected\\; but when I press it down to make contact the dipstick lights up and works.
 \\;
I figure, What the hey, nothing to lose. \\; I get out the old soldering iron and a very light gauge solder. \\; One droplet accurately placed and the carrier is reattached. \\; I press the button and BINGO: All systems GO.
 \\;
I've heard a lot about these items crapping out. \\; I don't know if it's the same problem I had, but it took about five minutes from start to finish, so I guess it's worth checking out. \\; Hope this helps someone out down the road.

 \\; I got mine \\;2 years ago when I picked the bike up. Last year changed ambient temp gage to oil temp and both usually read within 10 deg of each other. Under normal riding my bike takes up to 40 miles to get to 190-200 deg operating temp. \\;
good job thanks for the info been thinking about buying one safe riding
 \\;
Mine's full of water. \\; I keep looking to see if there are any fish in it.
 \\;
If you get it hot and water is on the top as in riding in the rain, when it cools it will suck water inside. \\; Dry it off when you park.
