Has anyone had a failure on a 11-07 build date. I have read some conflicting treads about this and would like to narrow this down to the build date , before I go and change my 11-07 build date bike. Thanks Doc
I had posted in one of the other threads from the Delphi Forums Ultra Classic riders garage that with a Vin upwards of 66 that they had fixed the problem anyone with lower numbers was in the problem zone. Mine was 62 and I \\;just had it done Saturday, one of the tabs was cracked and the fuel was pushing through that area and caused a hissing in the tank more noticeable than the regular fuel pump noise
I believe this is the new one also, no signs of stress anywhere with 3,500 miles on it so I put it back in. Hard to tell with the Pics, and do not have a new in box 08A to compare it with. \\; Doc
I have a July '07 built bike and am planning a 3000 mile ride in early August. I have a new shell on order but they are backordered with no projected date. If it does come in in time, can that be changed on the road (if necessary) with normal hand tools? I can copy the pages from the service manual and take them with me. I'm in a hotel room now and don't have the manual to check.

Thanks,
Jim
Hey doc I beleive that is the new part,I also have a build date of 11/07 and my bike has the new part inside. Also have read another thread of a 10/07 b.d. that had the new part and a 10/07 that didn't.And Jim, yes it could be changed roadside but you would probably need a small ball peen hammer at the least.
