Does 2008 Bagger need Stabilizer?
Hi all
I have a new 2008 Road Glide. I've never experienced the "bagger wobble" that I hear so much about. In fact, the RG corners much better than my old Evo Dyna but that bike had a lot of miles on it! I'm just wondering if, with the MOCO moving the engine location mounts to the front of the engine, would that reduce or eliminate the weave or wobble?
I notice that the 08's have two engine links, top and bottom at the front of the engine. My old Dyna had one, between the jugs. In theory, the engine/transmission on the old Dyna could pivot on that link, given enough play in the front and rear mounts. With two links at the front, I would think the possiblility of the engine/transmission twisting would be eliminated.
Anyone else thinking this?
Mike

a thought. the bagger wobble is caused by the rubber bushings in the rear swingarm. this is due to the g forces applied during cornering. as a new bike its all stiff. over time u may find some wobble. a number of fixes are avaiable
Its gets worse as they age and the rubber bushings wear and get sloppy. The 08s are the same as prev years in that regard. Do they NEED it? None of them technically NEED it. But I put one on my 07.
