Help install seat
I have the RK police edition bike and removed the air ride solo seat and all assoc. hardware. \\; I purchased the HD Sundowner seat (part #51542-01B).. \\; In the catalog it states that "includes all necessary mounting hardware. \\; All that arrived in the box with the seat was a seat strap????????? \\; How do I mount the seat to the rear fender? \\; I didn't find any mounting hdw. in the box???????????  \\; Thanks in advance. \\;

contact me if the cop seat is in great shape and you're interested in selling it. i have an 08 streetglide, and if yours is an 08 also, then i'm sure i could make it work on my sg. you may end up having to look at another same year bike as yours, and use what they call well nuts, a brass nut captured in a top hat looking rubber bushing and drill the fender of your rk to match the new seat, get an exact measurement from your buddys bike of the same year, and use tin foil or something to establish a perfect pattern, is all i can suggest. the well nuts you can get at lowes or h.depot, or maybe harley has a part that is right for your application, hope this helps.
