Why would you say that. 86 hp and 104 toq is not good?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Thats what&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;I was looking for loads of torque. &nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
&nbsp\\;
First, I'm happy for youglad you are pleased with your build.
&nbsp\\;
As for the remark about head work, that allows the engine to pump more air volume which is necessary for greater horsepower.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
An 18-wheeler has loads of torque, but it makes it slowly.&nbsp\\; I'm not saying your bike is slow, but h.p. measures how fast torque is madethere is no time increment on a dyno chart, so there's no way to measure, see or compare how&nbsp\\;fast your bike goes from 2K to 4500, hence the interest in the h.p. number.
&nbsp\\;
Again, congrats on a real nice upgrade over the 96".
&nbsp\\;

Yes, the definition of horsepower for our purposes is torque over time. More torque in a given time is more horsepower. Same torque in a shorter time is more horsepower.

I wish mine made that much torque.&nbsp\\; 90% of my riding is in the 2000 to 3000 rpm range.&nbsp\\; I think I'm gonna upgrade when my warranty expires.......

In comparison.&nbsp\\; SE211 cams 96inch, no head work, SERT, True duals made 87HP 98TQ.&nbsp\\; No head work.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Parts for Parts, dollar for dollar, performance for performance.&nbsp\\; The 96 can be made to run hard.&nbsp\\; My power band&nbsp\\;comes in at 2700 runs strong out to 5700 RPM.
&nbsp\\;
2300 is lugging RPM on the fly IMHO and that TQ curve&nbsp\\;is done at 4K RPM with that 103 combo.
A/F looks a bit fat.&nbsp\\; There probably more in it.

I just did this same kit for my bike. Just waiting for the Thundermax to arrive (if that ever happens...if this Thundermax doesn't get done soon I'm gonna opt for something else) so I could install. I did do the Harley high flow heads. Think that will get me to 100 HP and 110TQ?
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Might need a bigger cam but should be close find a good tuner and let them put the fingers to the test

dmgary, ya gotta love that torque curve\\\\\\; long and flat, and over 100 ft lbs from 23K to 44K RPM.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I'll bet it's hard to keep your fist outta that throttle!&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;you got head work?

dmgary, stock heads, stock throttle body, stock injectors.&nbsp\\; My dyno run can be viewed here: https://www.hdforums.com/m_300906/mpage_14/key_/tm.htm
your numbers sound similar to my "before" numbers,&nbsp\\;with the canned map downloaded.&nbsp\\; Mostly the improvement is just for bench racing.&nbsp\\; Mine felt almost as strong before the expensive dyno.&nbsp\\; I'm sure yours feels alot better than stock 96.
My mechanic said I could easily get 100hp with 2-into-1 exhaust.&nbsp\\; Don't need no bragging rights,&nbsp\\;still love&nbsp\\;my hot rod.

My stock 07 RG pulls 80 lb ft at 2,600 RPM and it flat out to about 3,700 RPM.&nbsp\\; Hp starts at a wopping 40 HP at 2,600 RPM and peaks out at 65 HP around 4,900 RPM.
