New Old Guy
Welcome Aboard and best of luck with your new ride!
I would strongly suggest taking a motorcycle safety course after your long layoff. You won't regret it.

Good luck, hope you enjoy your new bike. \\; The Motorcycle Safety Course would make you safer and refresh your skills. \\; Often you have to go againist your instincts in emergency situations when riding a bike and the course will remind you of some of these to continue to practice on. \\; Never quit learning.
Even if you've ridden before, take the Advanced Safety Course. \\; It helped me immensely after a 30 year layoff.
The headlight modulator really works, also. \\; I can't tell you how many times I've seen cars start to pull out and then stop when they see the modulating headlight. \\; Of course, it's hard to get some to go ahead of me at a four way stop! \\; Some have even pulled over when I've come up behind them!
 \\; Crazy cagers!

Welcome back to the biking brotherhood! (No offense ladies) \\; I had a about a 20 year break from riding myself. \\; \\;As others have already advised, take it slow regaining your riding skills and enjoy your new bike.
