Well the chinese are drilling right off our coast.
But we're concerned with the mythical global warming (read Control).
So the left must want it for the chinese?
Cause thats who will end up drilling it.
The region would only supply global demand for three years! Coupled with the legal fees to get the rights and R and D costs for working in the frozen north it should push the cost to over $6 a gallon.
The story leaves out a very important little factoid.
Most of this alleged oil in in Canada and Russia. Trust me when I say them Canadians are punching holes in the ground faster than you can shake a stick at. I am guessing that the Russians are as well. Very little of it is in the US (that would be Alaska).

Oil is a Commodity.
Economic fundamentals suggest that more supplies put downward pressure on prices. Concerns over future oil and natural gas supplies have added volatility in global oil markets so if the U.S. begins to develop its own domestic resources it would send a powerful signal to these markets.

trust me, you drill in the US and prices will go down. Don't ever believe that there is only a "3 year" supply. BS!!!! there is more oil in alaska and off our shores that we could compete directly with the Saudi's. This is a fact. We also need it now until the "mythical" alternative fuels are invented because they DON'T exist right now. Corn is NOT the answer and Harley doesn't have the wind powered street glide yet. (at least i didn't see that option in the catalog)

When will people realize that our economy will turn on a dime once energy prices go down. Everything is affected by energy prices. DRILL NOW!!!! and put 1000's of people to work doing it!
