Never had any problem with my '05 EG Classic. Love the bike. Even if I did have problems, I'm sure I'd still love the bike. It's a Harley and a Harley is what I'd always wanted. Period. \\;
tks Redneck, checked google but not there. Screw em, onceI get it apart with a hammer and chisel, I will have a pattern to make my own tool. two can play at this toolgame.
When life is getting me down.....all I got to do is go \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; downstairs to my garage and take look at my bikes and tools and I am instantly happy......so I aint even got to ride the dam things for them to make me happy. There aint nothing about either of my H-D's that makes me pissed off.....not even the price!
Amen!!.. put a laydown plate holder on the Mrs. HogDog's new Sporty last night - man it really looked good with the Corbin bags. \\;\\\\\\; So she looks at it and said "it looks great, but it is a little crooked.." \\;\\\\\\; I said: \\;\\\\\\; "Don't know how it could be crooked, there are three holes" and she said, "it's not big deal, don't worry about it." \\;\\\\\\; Yeah right, I was happy to take the chrome cover and the new tag holder and do it again, just for the fun of it!!!!
Is it reasonable to expect to be fairly trouble free when you fork over 20 - 30 K for a piece of equipment? \\; Of course it is. \\; \\;It is not reasonable to bitch about every vibration, rattle, whine, \\;hot \\;engine, hard pulling clutch, wind noise, tranny klunk, or any of a hundred other things. \\; \\;It is a MOTORCYCLE and we and all the mechanicals are fully exposed to be seen, felt, and heard. \\; It's part of the attraction. Anyone who \\;takes issue with that should probably do something else with their time and hard earned.

There are riders, then there are those who just happen to own a motorcycle. \\;
I LOVE MY '08 ROAD KING!! I have wanted a Harley for years but couldn't afford it. I have ridden a Honda for most of my life. I can't complain about any of them. I never loved my Honda the way I do my Harley though. I never rode any of the Hondas as much as I have the Harley. This is my first HD and I am sure it won't be my last. 5700 miles since May 10, 2008. Only put 12,000 miles on my last Honda in 11 months.
My compliments and thanks to Bike_r_trash for starting the most positive thread I've seen in many many months. Who would have thought a thread titled "If you hate, HD touring bikes post here" would have gotten this large of a positive response in just 2 days.

The silent majority has spoken and \\;my faith in my fello rider has been restored.

Thank you

Amen brother...I love the shake, clunks, and the heat. Sorry you can't wear friggin sandles when you ride...duh! I want to know I am riding a few inches away from pure American v-twin power. If I would have wanted a homoginized and sterile ride I would have bought one of the other brands. What really pisses me off is all the people who buy a Harley and then bitch about everything that the Harley brand is....
