My riding buddies son just got fired from our local H D dealership
He was not a tech. yet but hoped to be one day. Anyway he
accedently dropped a bike and was canned on the spot. I guess
they only keep pefect employees.

Actually this happend a few weeks ago and the new HD dealer that
he now works for loves him and is sending him to tech school so
things do happen for the best.
Perhaps there is truth to the 'Urban Myth Statistic' that "More Harleys get dropped in the driveway than on the highway"? If one of his superiors told him to move the bike he might have been between a rock and the other place. Whatever the circumstances, what happens now could shape his future, so let's hope the people he works with now help him to properly put it behind him and move on.
