Used to, we wanted our cars to pop and rumble when pulling the boot off the pedal. Never saw any harm in it. But I can say I've never had a motorcycle do it either.
Actually I love that sound. Got Fat Cat 2-1 and PCIII. Pops on decel and would not even try to get rid of it. My first car was a 66 Cevelle. It popped too.Ha!
I've got it, too. 08 Street Glide with Bub 7s (no crossover), H-D Race Tuner and the H-D Heavy Breather air cleaner. Haven't dynoed it yet because it's under 1000 miles.
When I had the same problem on my '07 Ultra, it cleared up when they tuned it on the dyno. It still happened once in awhile, but only when I couldn't get 91 octane fuel.
$150 is a pretty good investment to make sure the money you spent on your exhaust system works right.
150.00 for a dyno tune where is that at. Its 300.00 here in texas. #007 ultra classic i went to true duals which took care of most of the popping. Installed thundermax auto tune and its all gone and runs cooler.
I had decel popping after I installed SE Stage 1 and Bub headers w/Rush mufflers. I installed a Thundermax and it ran so much better. Once in a blue moon I will get one pop. Happy with the way it runs now.
it can also be in the timing i have thunder max and reset the timing. call fuel pak they should be able to help. decel pop can be bad for your fuel injection it can bend the butterfly believe it or not when that happens it can throw the 02 readings off.
