What's your interpretation of the changes that HD made to the touring frame? \\; Is it anticipation of going liquid cooled next year? \\; I'm assuming it is still a rubber mounted motor on the tourers?
My understanding is that they needed a bit more room for the new exhaust pipe routing. \\;Beleive they also wanted to clean up the \\;frame welds \\;and the 180mm rear tire - so they solved a couple issues at the same time. \\;I have not seen an 09 yet, but think my guesses are close. As for water cooled next year - I would not doubt the new frame was engineered for this as well - keep in mind, they are usually five years ahead in R&\\;D.
