Yeah it's like Cheyenne said. The person you spoke with probably didn't realize/know that the bags were part of the original equipment and not an aftermarket add-on.
Not too surprised though. You have to remember that the FLHX/I is such a brand new model that not everyone knows it even exists.
When I tried to add my SG the agent I spoke with had to call me back because she didn't have the numbers on the SG updated in her system yet.
Just had to have my insurance company fix my bike because the girl who pulled out in front of me POS insurance company would not return my calls. Progressive was there helping me contact that POS insurance company, I finally told them to fix my bike. Their settlement was $500 more than the other insurance company and I got the check in 3 days. Try Progressive.
IMHO Progressive insurance is the last company I would buy any insurance from. Just type "Progressive insurance ACLU" into Google and see what kind of hits you get. Just my 2 cents.
Just had a learning experience last week. My son buys a new (used) car. He's shopping for insurance. I talk to the agent who insured my bike last June. My son has two points on his driving record. Here's the part I didn't know. If you have auto coverage with one company and bike coverage with a second, they'll both hit you for the points. If both vehicles are with the same company, no double jeopardy. When my son was done with arranging new policies, the points were applied to the auto and his coverage on his Sportster dropped from $1200 to $538.
