I have 2 I like to carry. I have a folding Gunsite Tanto, and a Smith & Wesson Urban Combat pocket folder. The Gunsite was a pocket folder too, but the clip came of and stripped out the plastic handle. It's still a great blade. The Smith & Wesson is nothing short of outstanding, and it simply slips into the pcoet. They are always useful to have.
I have a Gerber lock blade that I always carry. I also have a Gerber HD lock blade that I carry some of the time.
In addition, I carry a small Schrade folding stockman, and my Leatherman. I grew up in a ranching community, and a knife was such an essential tool that I seldom give much thought to it. I just always had one for as long as I can remember.
Like Stretch, I have one of the Smith's. It is really nice. I got it several years ago at a Rally - it was "modified" when I bought it. I have looked and looked ever since then, and I can find the same knife but they are all manual rather than..... "not manual"... [sm=insomnia.gif]
13" serrated hunting knife in leather sheath. Bought it years ago at an Army/Navy surplus store in Arizonia on a vacation.
Spent 4 years bolted to the triple clamp of my Sporty.
Spent 9 years bolted to the front of my saddlebag on my FXR.
Now bolted to the rear crash bar of my FLHT.
I've carried folding knives for the last 25 years. The last ten, it's been a Buck. I was really suprised when I got it. The packaging was very religious. I didn't care, but it just seemed "somehow" out of place.
Phil, the "modified" smiths are available, try knifemart.com. if you like the smith, look at the boker ak47, good price, nice knife
Cool, THanks!
I did not see the exact one I have, I think it was called a Millenium. May have been something for Y2k. None-the-less, they have several with the same functionality.
