Anybody installed one of HDs compass on their Touring bike?

I just finished and after following all instructions and checking and double checking connections I can't get this thing to work..8[
The kit says '98 and up touring bikes and everything seemed to fit and hook-up as supposed to but the compass won't spin or work at all.
Anyone knows if they come "safety locked" from factory? Anything I might be missing?

&nbsp\\;You have any Pics of it installed? I saw one on Ebay and thought about it for the Bike. How hard was it to install? I will be changing out My Gauges with the Aluminum Face Gauges and want to do everything at one time.

KIT NUMBER IS 74441-02A BLACK FACE,74502-05 SPUN ALUM, 74487-04 SILVER.

MY GPS WAS EASIER INSTALL....LOL

 

I have one on my 03 ELC. It gets LOST sometimes(lol). I think it is too close to the magnet in the speaker

 

That's only slightly less useless than the ambient air temp gauge it replaced.
