Default WTF? Why charge so much?

Battery died 1/2 mi from HD dealer..that's the good news. Sold me a new battery out the door for $162.00. Why is it that other's can make a living selling a battery for $119.00 and HD feels the need to hose you down? Just pisses me off! Thank you and good day! I feel better now.

HD raised prices on tires, batteries and oil due to the increasing fuel prices. Bend over

Who locally carries the AGM type battery that'll fit yer bike for $119?&nbsp\\; Be aware that there are cheap knock-offs out there!

It's called, the fleecing of america. Why can you buy a battery for a car that is twice as big has twice the cranking amps for half the money. Fleecing of america. If you can afford an expensive toy, you can afford high priced parts.-Fleecing of america.-&nbsp\\;As long as we keep buying these high priced items, they will keep charging us for them.

The price of lead is going up. The chinese are buying all our scrap and the price of raw has gone up. It may take a while but look for auto batteries to go up as well.

It's also called ROI - a product has a fixed cost (advertising, production line set-up, etc). They sell a LOT more car batteries than for motorcycles!

The car battery is lead-acid, not AGM (Advanced Glass Mat), that's why it costs half as much. &nbsp\\;\\\\\\;An AGM battery for your car costs twice as much as the same lead-acid battery for your car.&nbsp\\;The car battery has more cranking amps because of the physical size of the battery box, there's more room for more lead.
