I was a goldwing rider for many of years and always had the dealer do the work, to much plastic to take off even for an oil change. So this year I purchased the bike I always wanted but never got for some reason a 2008 Ultra clasic. I love this Bike and I think the old lady is jelous. Anyways A buddy (Thanks Eric) helped me customize this scoot to make it my own, Lots of work learned a lot and it turned out sweet. Well tonight I did the 5000 mile oil change, what a mess I made oil everywhere, I aint much of a wrench but I'm learning. It felt good and turned out ok. I think I never really loved my other bikes because I didn't bond with them through labor. Thanks to all for the help I get from this forum. I will never get another bike except HD I am hooked. More Baby steps to come!

NONE of the 'Wing's plastic has to come off for an oil change. I also own a '08 Ultra Classic and between the two bikes, "changing the oil" is a lot more involved on the Harley. \\; On the 'Wing, I don't have any primary chaincase or separate transmission to deal with - one drain point, one kind of oil. \\; Much simpler.
