squeak
went riding with a group last saturday and as we were leaving a light in a little town and accelerating away, we came up on rr crossing that was really sh**ty. \\; compressed front end and then the rebound literaly launched my classic off the ground. \\; probably doing 40-45 mph when we hit it. \\; now i have an annoying "squeak" coming from front somewhere. \\; i can rock the front back and forth and hear nothing. \\; seems to be when i am running down the road and come up on another section that "drops" a little lower than the one i was on. \\; no big deal but really annoying on a new bike. \\; sure i just need to readjust something. \\; any ideas? \\; thanks
Good luck. Squeaks are often hard to pinpoint. I have one that occasionally shows up in my left rear and I am sure it involves the muffler or heat shield but everything is tight. Yours sounds like it could be coming from the front brake. Not much else there to squeak.
I had the same problem. \\; Turned out it was the "toung" under the front of my seat. \\; Everytime I went over a bump it would rub the metal. \\; I put some lube on it and its gone.
 \\;
One way to tell is to bounce up/down on your seat and if you hear it thats what it is.
