Default Air Filter Question?

So right now I have just the reg screamin eagle filter on my 08 SG. I really like the look of the new screamin eagle heavy breather filter in black. Wanted to know if its worth the $300.00 and will i gain any sort of performance? If not this filter which would you choose in that style?

check out http://wimmermachine.com/_html/1.html
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
some of the best intakes in the business but pricey
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
I have their basic 90 kit w/ the super filter and crankcase breathers,
works great and looks a ton better than the heavy breather IMHO.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Just another option for you to check out as there are many
&nbsp\\;
Heres a close up of mine:
