Trucks and cars \\;\\\\\\;vs. m/c's are so different. Lockup the front wheels on your car or truck and odds are you will still be in the vertical position and might not even spill your McDonald's coffee in your lap. Lock up the front wheel on your m/c and your boys might be saying the 11:00pm toast in remembrance of you. I've ridden with and without, I feel safer with. Let's put it this way, I can go to sleep without locking my doors or I can go to sleep after locking my doors\\\\\\; which way makes you sleep better? For those that don't wish to pay for it, there are good odds you may never need it. But if you do need it, you'll be damn glad you got it. As far as cost goes, I got mine free with the bike but would have paid for it.

In many vehicle accidents, ABS has caused longer stopping distances due to operator ignorance. The first time it was used was in a panic situation and when a pulsation was felt in the brake pedal, pressure was decreased on the pedal resulting in longer stopping distances and collision!

If you don't have ABS your not screwed. Practice your rapid stops so you dont lock anything up in a panic situation...practice...practice. Most lock ups are due to panic when braking. ABS wont stop you sooner it just keeps things from locking up when you panic stop.

Well Bagger I wont get in a peeing contest with you , we'll just agree to disagree , but when used properly you will stop in a shorter distance with ABS .. \\;Non ABS , cold brakes , will take longer to stop ..
