Default wheel chock

does a wheel chock need to be bolted down or can it be used without bolting it. reason i ask is that im going to be hauling my glide in a u-haul cargo van and im thinking that a chock wil help keep it upright . of coarse it will be also strapped .is a chock good insurance for hauling? and can i use one without bolting it down?

Unless it has super wide legs, it isn't going to do much as in holding it up. I would wedge a short 4x4 in&nbsp\\;front of the&nbsp\\;front wheel to keep the fender&nbsp\\;from hitting,&nbsp\\;strap it down good but not from the handle bars. I have two peaces bolted together to keep it from rolling out from in front of the tire.

Are you using one of those pingel wheel chocks or a condor type wheel chock? I dont think you will have any problems if using the condor as long as the bike is strapped but the pingel style I am not so sure. I used the condor in my trailer but I bolted the thing down.
