Default high idle speed

I also had high idle speed with the recommended Mode 1 setting. Try cutting it in half and see if the idle returns to 900-1000rpm. I went from a setting of 10 to 5 for Mode 1, and it did the trick for me.

I plan to post what I have learned about the Modes very soon. Thanks.

I was told by the techs at V&H that the fuelpac does not control idle spped & it is controled only by the ECU. There are no adjustments on the fuelpac for idle according to the tech.

My results are different. In addition, the Fuelpak may work differently for different bikes. That is to say, what applies to a 2009 Touring may not apply to a 2006 Dyna, etc.

I've had good luck with the Fuelpak and I must say it's one of the reasons, as I try various headpipe/muffler combinations, that I stick with V&H products. I do realize that they provide maps for other pipes or custom maps, but they've got a wide selection of products and I figure the most data is available on their own stuff.

All that being said, it would be an interesting academic exercise to attempt to reverse-engineer the settings. Wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if 19 of the 20 modes were just decoy settings that did absolutely nothing and there was only one setting that really changed anything? Who knows? Maybe that's the reason for all the secrecy...

Holy ****!!!! didn't think this thread would need a lawyer..
Back to the original question...
With my duals, fuelpak and stock Muffs, I am using the standard V&H may for duals and their muffs.. (FP 0863)..it runs very well and MPG has been averaging 46-49.
When I first installed ther FP and called V&H and told them my setup, I was flat out told We do not support that setup..

So......I turned to the forum and ended up with the FP 0863 map.
What ductmate said one setting for the engine braking...things like that..
but of course ya got to know what year bike everyone is talking about...

Here is a few Horsepower gains I have had

5 HP when installed backrest
-1 HP for the tourpc rack
3 hp with LED tailight bulbs
1 hp Iso grips
etc, etc,
LOL humor..........you get the drift here

Fuel Pak installed still have a little decel popping and running a little rich but still getting 40+mpg. My concern is with the ecm connector went together ok but the connector is tight against inside of frame and cable wires are a little tight which tends to pull the ecm connector to the side a little. Hope the connector does't brake.

Interesting thread. I would love to know what the settings/values mean....cause....well....I would just like to know. Screw intellectual property rights. I would just be hesitant to post them on the forum (PM maybe?)

Like Kato, though, I would also like to know if anyone has the settings that would work for my setup (V&H says they don't have one):

'07 Street Glide
Bone stock
Ness Billet Sucker Stage 1
STOCK headers/mufflers (my Big Radius are tied up in customs here in Canada)

I can't get my pipes until some time next week (f***ing Canadian Customs agency!!!), but I would really love to at least be able to install the Fuelpak and A/C this weekend.

Can anyone help with the settings (published or not)?
