In a very real sense you are trying to access their "intellectual property", which they obviously make every effort to protect from dissemination. This could well place it squarely under the DMCA which has some big, sharp teeth.

I don't believe I'd criticized it but nonetheless feel you'd directed that aspect of your response to me at least in some part. I have an obvious partiality to at least two other products which are far and way-far more capable. Saying that that emphasizes my ignorance greatly emphasizes yours (if indeed that comment had been directed toward me). I don't want to use a Fuelpak. I have no need for one. I doesn't fill my needs/wants/desires. Saying that in no way makes me a detractor. I know what it does, and how it has to do it. I really don't care what the secret codes mean. Anybody who does want to know what they mean so they can adjust theirs has procured a device that does not suit their needs. They knew going in that they would not be able to fine-tune it beyond what V&H engineers say is best, with no explanations as to how/why.

I opt to not use Microsoft products, too. Please don't tell me that makes me ignorant!

glens: You made several incorrect assumptions and statements in your last post. You are obviously only participating in this thread to add negative comments. Perhaps you should try to be more positive and move on as everyone else sees this thread as an opportunity to learn, be positive and help each other out. Your words speak volumes about you and your character.

I for one appreciate the learning process of this thread, as I am in the market for a fuel management product.

Doc, I'd have been happy to have said that I feel figuring out the Fuelpak codes is both non-worthwhile and possibly illegal, and then moved on. Why did you add "Your words speak volumes about you and your character." to your last post if you really wanted me to leave the thread? Attacking me and/or my character is something I stand up to in the same setting it takes place.

Hello All,

Finding this thread interesting considering I just purchased and installed a V&H Fuelpak with V&H oval slip ons and a SE Stage One air cleaner to my 03 HD UC - what I have noticed in a short time is, the bike sounds great but, I'm disappointed with the performance - I thought by making these upgrades the bike would be faster and have greater horsepower - I bought the V&H fuelpak because of ease of use and I don't have any plans for further upgrades - I've checked the settings recommended by V&H's several times but, I'm at a bit of a loss why it did not make a noticeable difference - after reading this thread, I have noticed the idel speed is higher then before at about 1200 to 1300 - any comments or suggestions are welcomed by those who have experience in this area.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried to call them? When I was running the fuelpak I called and spoke with Adam. He will give some values to change. It may help. Be sure to reset your throttle when you enter the values he gives you.

I've contacted V&H 6 times and made adjustments everytime, I've been over my bike numerous times and I'm ready to scrap Fuelpak. Still farts, hiccups and hesitates.

Something is wrong. Mine worked great while I had it. When I switched to the PC III though it made it even better.
