Default Tire question

I've got 10000 on my Dunlops and need a new tire. I plan on going with Metzler 880s. The front tire is pretty good yet. Do I need to change them both or can you mix the two brands? (Dunlap on the front and Metzler on the rear) This would be on an 07 Ultra.

I wouldnt worry abt it , you still should have at least 10-15 more left on the front ..

As long as its not an 08 with ABS

I went from Dunlops to Metz, and told the boys at the shop, if they wanted the OEM POS, they could have them.... Felt the Brazilian Metz weren't up to par with my old German Metzlers... so this time around, I threw a Dunlop Elite&nbsp\\; 3 on the rear... feels REAL good... but I haven't riden but a 1000 miles, so the jury is still out...oh, I have the Metz still on front... bike doesn't seem to mind

Thanks for the replys. Went to the local indy today. He agreed with you guys won't hurt a thing. Said the front one would last through another rear tire. Had him put a Metz on. Thanks again.

So what was the reason not to use Metz on an 08 with ABS? or was it the mix? Still?

I was going to replace my dunlops with Metzler 880's but after hearing about the Brazilian problems I went with Michelin Commanders. What a ride! Soft and smooth. They eat up the bumps and track way better than Dunlops.

How do you know if the Metz was made in Brazil or not and what is the problem?
