This is my third sharkie ..
 \\;
The tour pak , \\;mounting hardware and locks come in jus over a grand , will take about two weeks to get the tourpak , has to be painted .. You will still come in over a grand under the ultra ..
I have had both.
My RG is the best Harley I have ever owned and I have had 7.
For the first time I am not thinking about what bike I want next.
I won't buy anything until I wear this one out.
When I do it will new another Shark.
Ive had both Both are great bikes for diffrent reasons Its a trade off The ultra has great protection from the elements no head buffeting cb and intercom but you get some handlebar shimmy from the wind \\;off semi trucks and strong head winds The road glide has better handling with no additional weight on the handle bars is great with head winds and fron semi trucks but a strong side wind will want to push it to the lane next to you at hiway speeds and you get some head buffeting, Lowers and a diffrent shield may or may not help with the head buffeting. I suggest renting a Road Glide for a couple of days and see for yourself try and pick a windy day You know about the Ultra so try a Road Glide and decide for yourself Bikes are a trade off never found the perfect bike but the RG is pretty close for me
I also got hit by a deer and totaled my 07 Road Glide. I purchased an 09 Road Glide, my third, Love Road Glides. Just one problem, I don`t get it until September, had to order it, and not much color selection, but I usually buy black anyway.
No doubt go with the Ultra. I just put almost 1500miles on a Road Glide and I couldn't wait to get my Ultra back. It handles so much better than the RoadGlide.
