harbor freight chock #97841 dont fit on my stock dunlaps ..flht..im thinkin of drilling another set of holes to bring the flapper back more....anybody ever do this?
I bought one of these when they were on sale'cuz I could swear someone posted that they would work on a Street Glide, but when I took it out of the box you could see right away that the rear flap was going to be saying hello to the back of the fender if I tried to ride onto the stand...oh well, guess i'll have it for my next bike....
Have the "On Special 19.95 HF" chock. My 06 seems to fit just fine but it is a little tight on the front of the Dunlops. I am going to reshape the front portion of the chock. The rear flips up just fine and does not hit the fender although it looked like it might the first time. Good deal for 19.95.
My harbor freight chock worked fine on my '04 Glide.
I also thought the chock may have squeezed the tire sidewall a bit much,
but it worked out fine from Central Florida to Western N. Carolina and back.
It did not interfere with the front fender at all..and best of all, it allowed
me to load the bike by myself. For the price....I'd say go for it.
with this model it seems like there is not enough room to allow the rear flap to "activate' when the tire is against the front stop or
to allow the tire to get trapped between the front stop and the rear flap and the rear flap is in the most rear ward hole ...is why im thinking to fust drill some new holes
I snagged on some of those $20 HF chocks as well. They worked great. I did find that on narrow wheels/tires a rubber spacer on each side made for a more solid, stable mount.
