Default h-d recall

i got my recall notice in the mail yesterday. i went to my local dealer where i have spent thousands of dollars on parts for my streetglide. they put me on a list and said that it could take quite awhile to get repaired. they said that the unsold bikes on the floor would be repaired first, then there rental fleet which is shut down until those bikes are repaired. after all that is done then the bikes that were purchased from them would cone next then custermers that had purchased from other dealers would be on fiest come first served basis. this recall will take a long time to accomplish as they do not even have the parts yet to make the repairs. i wonder if the parts will be available to buy from the parts dept to repair myself?i wonder if i can stop paying my note till the bike is repaired? wonder how they would feel then. i made an app. at the dealer where i bought my bike , so i am on two list to get reamed, oh i mean repaired.

Sounds like a bunch of crap to me. Find a new dealer to give your money to.

Ditto. Tell them to shove it and take your future business elsewhere.

Go and tell them that you have spent your last $ in their shop!

Default H_D Recall

Write or contact HD motor company and let them know your problem. Then I would contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in Washington and complain big time. The phone number is 1-800-DASH-2DOT OR 1-800-424-9153. Good Luck.

That's all easy to say but I've got two dealerships telling me the same thing here in southern Idaho. And when you're out here it's not like there are 5 other dealerships local like. They won't even give me the kit to repair it myself saying they have to perform the recall.

I think all dealers are doing it as they can't get them all done at once.
