Here's a suggestion, get rid of the noisy, dirty HD brake pads and replace them with Lyndall pads. They don't make noise or make your wheels black. Been running them on my V-Rod for 4 years now.
When the SG comes in, I probably will switch over during the winter down time.
I received the notice for the filter but not the brakes. Did they send one out?
Dawg said you will not get the "Service Bulletin" on the brakes, you have to say something to the stealer and they will fix them. My brakes squealed like a SOB before the 1000 mile check, they worked on them and I thought it was cured, the brakes squeal alittle every time I wash the bike, even at 11000 miles.

Have had brake noise since thousand mile check up. went to dealer for recall notice and was told about service bulliten on brakes will have all work done when servie bulliten kits are in.Also heard there are pads out there that will not make noise
6000 miles and rear brakes still squeal. Going in for the recall Sat., I'm going to tell them about the bulletin. When I made the appointment, he said they had no answer yet, along with 3 other HD shops. I talked to a dealer a couple hundred miles from me last week, he said they tried new pads and brake grease but the noise comes back. Really ticking me off nobody has a sure fix. I have heard of some guys going to Lyndal's and the squeal comes back too.
I'm starting to think it must be something expensive if HD doesn't have a fix (rotors). I sent and e-mail to Brembo and Cc to my service manager today! Brembo got the deal from HD, they should get at it, damn it. Their site brags about no squeal.

Here's another suggestion - spray wash the wheels/brakes now and then. "Dirty HD brake pads" won't be a problem anymore.
HOT TIP: Even if you're not using "HD brake pads", you still won't have any more issues with dirty brake components if you spray wash them.
This is a public service message for motorcycle owners who refuse to use spray washes. Trust me - don't spray the electronics, and it'll be OK (and, your bike will thank you).
'08 Roadking , had the brake squeal until I fixed it with a thin shim made of gasket material. Posted the fix in another thread. BRake Shoe compund will work but will not last.
