We went out and looked over a 09 Ultra today, the dealer wanted 23900 out the door and offered me 17035 for my 07 Ultra. We liked the way it looks, but the my finance manager (The Wife) told them we would think about it and they needed to sweeten the deal a little more. They had a least 6 Ultras that we looked at and a stack 08 Copper Tops. Does this offer sound decent seeing how the 09's are just coming out.
Yes, for this area of the country, that would be pretty good. I got a price of 23,500 yesterday for an 09 UC without ABS and Security before all the addons and charges. Three weeks ago, I was quoted 24,445 for an 08 with ABS and Security and they refused to come down at all. I'm planning to buy one early next spring and I hope I can get a price like that then. Good Luck.
Mine wants 25600 out the door for a solid color ( Flame Blue or Red) with ABS, offered 16000 for my 07 EGC....thinking hard...man I like the new ones, real bad.
What did they quote you for freight, dealer prep, and doc fees? Also what HD dealer is this?
I went into Old Glory HD in Laurel, MD to purchase an 09 Ultra. They would not come off the price at all on all fees. So, I tried to get a second set of headphones from them and we would do the deal. They wouldn't do that either.
You ought to see all of the 08 bikes they have on the floor. There were 6 street glides alone.
Thanks,
Frank

Fort Thunder (Bryan) Harley out of Moore, Oklahoma. The price quoted was for out the door which included the freight, set up, etc..
The dealer also has a program called the V.I.P. Program for a 09 Ultra. This is at their dealership ONLY. This program is for 3 years which includes free regular schedlued service intervals along with 2 rear tires and 1 front tire and battery replacement. they said the only item not included is gas and brake pads. They said if you needed a tire and/or battery replaced at another dealer while traveling to bring in the receipt and they would refund the money. this plan also puts you first for service at their dealership.
Back again, this plan would raise the monthly payment 37 dollars. If you know your going to be putting a lot of miles on your bike in the first three years it would pay for itself seeing how most service checks run around 300-350., along with tire replacement.
09 Ultra here are running abt the same price as you are , showroom full of 09 Ultras ..
I got the 08RG a month ago , and this dealer gave me a $500 gift certificate , had to spend there , for skipping a dealer closer to me .. I ordered tourpak and backrest , at time of purchase , got a 10% discount on all that stuff .. Then when I spent the gift certificate , got a 10% discount on all that stuff too ..
Yep I know I actually "paid" for it , but hey never seen anyone else do it ..
Also once a month on Saturday they have customer appreciation , where its free food and discounts on all purchases ..
Was curious about other service costs , these people are $280 , add $ 40 for synthetic oil ..
That VIP program sounds great. I paid $850 for my last service with rear tire. All services in the past were at least $500. I have 40,000 on my 06 UC and have used 3 rear and 1 front tires. I will have to look into that if if I jump on a 09. That woud have saved me thousands.
