Get the classic, Only problem with my HK radio is it loses a minute a month on the clock. Not a big deal. The tour pak extra gauges and stereo is worth it. My .02

I would go with the Classic. That is the best bang for the buck of any bike Harley sells. It already has the stereo and the tourpak, plus a lot more chrome.

Bag guards rae an easy removal. The light and crome from the fender may leave some holes to patch.

I went through the same thing 9 weeks ago. Ended up with the Ultra and the detachable kit for the tour-pak, Tuck the cables under the seat no problem. 41oo miles later couldn't be happier.

Added Rineharts Duals right away with the XIED's to get rid of the heat. Then wrapped the baffles with fireplace rope to soften the noise and ended up with a deeper tone when driving normal and a screamer when I crack it open. Did take the lowers off. Don't think I'll pit them back on unless it's 50 degrees or below.

after about 500 miles I no longer missed my Roadking. Classic or Ultra you can't go wrong.

Classic and have them intall the removable tour pack. You will have the best of both worlds being able to remove the tourpack when you want to. Its about 20 minutes to unplug the speakers and electrical stuff and take off with the quick detach.

I really like the look of the Classic with the lowers and Tour Pack off also!

For 2grand i could get a killer stereo and a tour pack but it would be close. what do you think

I'm following this thread with interest as I'm considering a EG Standard, RK, or maybe the Classic. To be honest I didn't even know their was a removable option. Does anyone know about what it would cost to add a removable, color matched, tourpak, to the EG Standard? And what the added cost to convert the Classic to a removable Tourpak?
