stupid question handel bars

Default stupid question handel bars
Just got my new to me 03 road king and need to adjust the handel bars down a little. Problem is I can't find a way to seperate the chrome strip down the center of the headlight from the handel bar cover any Ideas? Is it possible that there are studs inside the headlight housing?

I believe this has been covered here before, but you need to pull the headlight out in order to remove the chrome strip.

Pull the headlight the trim spear is held on by a small nut inside the headlight nacelle.
